Disney, IMAX, Marvel to Partner on ‘The Inhumans’ 11.15.2016 Disney/ABC, Marvel Television and IMAX will bring Marvel's The Inhumans to IMAX theaters in late summer 2017. Beginning September 2017, the first two episodes of the series will run in IMAX theaters exclusively for two weeks before the show premieres on ABC. Under the agreement, the first two episodes will be produced by ABC Studios and entirely shot with IMAX digital cameras. IMAX also is a will function as a financing partner on the show, marking the film technology company's first time co-producing a TV series.
