STEWARDS SUMMARY OF PENALTIES 2015 V8 SUPERCARS CHAMPIONSHIP – RACES 34, 35 & 36 Document No: SH04 “Coates Hire Sydney 500” Sydney Olympic Park Street Circuit, Sydney, New South Wales. 4th to 6th December 2015 Stewards Summary Update #3: FINAL issued Sunday 6th December 2015 at 1915hrs. Matters from Race 36: An investigation was conducted into the incident involving contact between Car #6, Steve Owen, and Car #4, Alex Davison, at Turn 6 on Lap 2. No breach of the rules was established. An investigation was conducted into the incident involving contact between Car #97, Shane van Gisbergen, and Car #22, James Courtney, at Turn 9 on Lap 3. No breach of the rules was established. Following an investigation and an admission of a breach of Rule D12.7.2 (Use of Equipment/Tools) by Erebus Motorsport Trust V8 (Car #9’s wheel nut), the Stewards imposed the penalty of a fine of $3000 and the loss of 30 Teams Championship Points on Erebus Motorsport Trust V8. An investigation was conducted into the incident involving Car #99, James Moffatt, making contact with an air hose belonging to Jack Daniels Nissan Motorsport during a Pit Stop. No breach of the rules was established. An investigation was conducted into the incident involving contact between Car #23, Michael Caruso, and Car #18, Lee Holdsworth, in Pit Lane on Lap 39. No breach of the rules was established. An investigation was conducted into the incident involving contact between Car #22, James Courtney, and Car #99, James Moffatt, at Turn 2 on Lap 72. The Stewards the penalty of the loss of 25 Championship Points on James Courtney, Car #22. Following an investigation and an admission of a breach of Rule D18.1.3 (Minimum Tyre Pressure) by Lucas Dumbrell Investments Pty Ltd (Car #222 tyre pressure being below minimum pressure during the race), the Stewards imposed the penalty of exclusion on Car #222, Jack Perkins. Matters from the Top Ten Shootout: There were no issues. Matters from Qualifying – Race 36: Following an investigation and an admission of Careless Driving (blocking) by David Wall, Car #34, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 2 grid spots for Race 36 on David Wall, Car #34. Stewards Summary Update #2: issued Saturday 05th December 2015 at 1900hrs. Matters from Race 35: There were no issues.
