City Arts Nashua PO Box 1603 Nashua, New Hampshire, 03061 Holman Stadium Art Banner Project The Holman Stadium Art Banner Project Committee, a community project organized by Nashua Silver Knights with the assistance of City Arts Nashua as the fiscal agent, is seeking to engage an artist, or a team of two artists that will work together, to create two works of art in compatible styles that will be converted into 8 x 12 foot banners displayed on the stanchions of Holman Stadium on either side of the box office. Holman’s rich history of baseball and being the first integrated baseball stadium in the country, make it the perfect place for banners depicting Roy Campanella and Don Newcombe. As members of the Nashua Dodgers, Campanella and Newcombe broke through the racial barriers that existed in sports at the time. We are excited to bring these banners to Holman to honor two men who paved the way for so many to follow.
