TEXAS STATE PARKS Lake Livingston STATE PARK PINEYWOODS Lake Livingston STATE PARK Tall loblolly pines and red oaks shade Lake Livingston State Park, a popular haven for camping and fishing in East Texas. Boat ramps and fishing piers provide easy access to the lake, which supports crappie, largemouth bass, white bass, striped bass, and flathead, channel, and blue catfish. The park also has swimming areas and an observation tower. Hiking trails wind through scenic backcountry and developed areas of the park. A one-mile raised boardwalk provides access for the mobility impaired to reach bird and wildlife viewing areas. Camping: Campsites with water, water and electricity, and water, electricity and sewer. Also, screened shelters with water and electricity. Group Facilities: Group picnic pavilion (capacity 50). Picnicking: Day-use area with tables and grills. Fishing: Lighted fishing pier. Two fish cleaning stations. 2-1/2 miles of shoreline. Trails: More than 6 miles of nature and hiking trails. Concession: Store with bait, supplies, and souvenirs.
