They are the result of hundreds of people working together for hours and days and months. Anyone who has been part of planning a large conference knows the behind the scenes work that is involved. The Foreign Language Association of Missouri has joined with the Central States Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages Board of Directors to bring you this 2007 conference. The Program Committee has done an outstanding job of making a conference to fit a wide variety of professional development needs. Not only will you get new information and ideas from your participation, but also we know that you will enjoy the location in the Crown Center area of Kansas City. We are especially indebted to all the volunteer members of the local committees whose names appear in this program booklet. Without their assistance, we would not be able to hold such an event. A sincere thank you to each and every committee member for the time and effort they have given to make this conference a reality.
