Essex County Council (Footpath 4, Burnham-on-Crouch) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2018 Notice is hereby given that the above Order made by Essex County Council, under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has been continued in force with the consent of the Secretary of State for the Department for Transport until 3 January 2020. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Footpath 4, Burnham-on-Crouch in the District of Maldon, from its junction with Creeksea Lane south east for a distance of approximately 370 metres. The alternative route will be via Creeksea Lane, B1010 Maldon Road, Springfield Road, Footpath 4 and vice versa. The closure commenced on 3 July 2018 and is required for the safety of the public while the upgrading of Footpath 4 is undertaken. (Footpath 3 & 5, Cold Norton and Footpath 11 & 13, Purleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2019 Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close the following length of Footpath 3 & 5, Cold Norton and Footpath 11 & 13, Purleigh in the District of Maldon: Road Description Footpath 3, From the junction with Flambirds Chase and Cold Norton/ Footpath 3, Cold Norton, east to the junction with Footpath 13, Hackmans Lane and Footpath 13, Purleigh. Purleigh Footpath 11, From the junction with Flambirds Chase and Purleigh/ Footpath 11, Purleigh, south for a distance of Footpath 5, approximately 1620 metres to the junction with Cold Norton Footpath 5, Cold Norton and Footpath 4, Stow Maries. The alternative route for the above footpath closures will be via Flambirds Chase, Footpath 3, Cold Norton, Bridleway 7, Cold Norton, Footpath 3, Stow Maries, Footpath 4, Stow Maries, The Street, Footpath 7, Stow Maries, Footpath 8, Cold Norton, Footpath 14, Purleigh and vice versa. The temporary closure are scheduled to commence on 19 May 2019, 27 July 2019 and 28 July 2019 between the hours of 09:00h and 18:00h, 14 September 2019 and 15 September 2019 between the hours of 09:00h and 19:00h or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and are required for the safety of the public while the Fly-in and Air Display at Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome is undertaken. The Orders will come into effect on 19 May 2019 and may continue in force 6 months or until the event have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Effect of the order: 1. To temporarily close that length of West Bowers Road, Woodham Walter in the District of Maldon, from both of its junctions with Bassetts Lane for a distance of approximately 700m in an easterly direction. 2. To temporarily close that length of Bassetts Lane, Woodham Walter in the District of Maldon, from both of its junctions with West Bowers Road for a distance of approximately 230m in a northwesterly direction. The closures are scheduled to commence on 3rd June 2019 for 33 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN01332719885/A – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks. org. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while water mains renewal works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water. An alternative route for Bassetts Lane is available via North Hill, Spring Elms Lane and vice versa.
