It is not difficult to look after them and instructions will be given. The village of Uddel is located in the middle of the Netherlands region of Veluwe, and is well known for its lake Uddelmeer. This is a very interesting place to visit with its unique culture, history and character. The Veluwe is an attractive wooded area which is particularly suitable for walking, cycling and mountain biking. About 18 km are some large places; Apeldoorn (Loo Palace) Harderwijk (dolphinarium). There are train connections to Rotterdam and Amsterdam. About 20 km there is the lake named Randmeer, and several characteristic fishing villages are in the neighbourhood. There is a local bus service every hour and house-swappers are welcome to use their 2 adult bikes, and more can be hired from the village. This lovely detached home was built only five years ago and is in a beautiful setting. It lies in a large private garden area of 3000 sq metres. They have garden furniture and a BBQ ; also for the children there is a sandpit, trampoline, swing and volleyball. There is a bus service every hour and house- swappers are welcome to use the 2 adult bikes, and more can be hired from the village. The family attend a large Dutch Reformed Church where 400 people meet for morning service and about 200 in the evening. www.hervormduddel.nl The services are all in Dutch and of traditional style. They sing only psalms and use the Dutch Bible, authorized version. In morning there is a crèche, and the services are 9.30 am and 6.30 pm.
