During the series she’ll meet individuals and attend colourful and eccentric events. This week Connie joins the Mines Rescue Service near Tonypandy which has been saving lives for more than a hundred years. Volunteers have been involved in some of the most tragic incidents of mining disasters throughout the past century - including the recent Gleision mine tragedy. She then meets a group of women in Penarth who knit hats for the troops in Afghanistan as a sign of support from the people of the UK. Connie ends her journey in Prestatyn at one of the biggest science fiction conventions in the UK. But will she make the right decision as she judges the ‘Galaxy’s Got Talent’ competition? Having already lived through cancer once in her young life, Gwyneth choses to hide the truth from Yvonne and deal with the pain on her own. But what makes this time all the more difficult is that she now has a young son, Gwern, to worry about. Deciding to share something with Yvonne to ease her burden, it isn’t illness on her mind as she tells what she knows about the fire which killed Brandon. There’s disagreement at Penrhewl as to where the baby will be born. Cadno, with Marian’s support, is adamant that she wants to be at home, but Eifion is dead against this. However, Eifion has more pressing things to worry about with his money problems. When Ed tells him that he could make a bit of money by selling the gun, he starts eyeing up a brand new pram.
