Ms. Tash and the late, renowned counter- tenor Brian Asawa released their Baroque duet album “Spirits of the Air” in October 2014, preceded earlier that year with a tour that included dates in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Mexico, the latter at Guadalajara’s famed Teatro Degollado for the annual Festival de Mayo celebration. Teamed with famed pianist Armen Guzelimian, performances have included solo recitals for Santa Barbara Opera in December 2011, and at Carnegie Hall in 2008, as well as Los Angeles’s Zipper Hall in 2006, from which a live recording, “Diana Tash, in Recital” was released in 2009 with LML records. Ms. Tash’s mezzo stage work has been hailed as “radiant” by the Los Angeles Times and “skillful” by the New York Times. Her solo work includes Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’ with the Los Angeles Master Chorale at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Leonard Bernstein’s ‘Jeremiah Symphony’ with the Akron Symphony in Ohio in 2009. Ms. Tash was a Resident Artist with LA Opera from 1992 to 1996, singing with some of the major singers and conductors of our time. In a return to LA Opera in 2004, she sang Mercedes in ‘Carmen’ with Maestro Placido Domingo, and sang with both San Diego Opera and Opera Pacific in 2006 and again in 2008 in Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’. She has also performed at the Aldeburgh Festival in England with Maestro Stuart Robinson, and at the Aspen Festival with Maestro Lawrence Foster. In 2016, Ms. Tash performed at the Boston Court with the California String Quartet in a semi- staged performance of Jake Heggie’s ‘Camille Claudel: Into the fire’, as well as with Music Mar- in with NY Philharmonic Violist Cynthia Phelps in concert. She is a winner of the Western Re- gional Metropolitan Opera Finals, and has also been heard with the Pacific Symphony as Anni- na in ‘La Traviata’ in 2014, as well as with the Debussy Trio performing the music of Ian Krouse. She joined the Santa Barbara Choral Society in Handel’s ‘Messiah’ in 2012, in Sacra- mento Opera’s ‘Orlando’ as Medoro in 2010 and in Long Beach Opera’s ‘Medea’ in February 2011. Ms. Tash has also toured with composer Maria Newman and her Viklarbo String quartet in September 2013. Most recently, on July 12th and 14th of 2019, Ms. Tash performed the role of Mrs. Gleaton in Festival Opera’s production of Carlisle Floyd’s ‘Susannah’. On August 17, 2019, Ms. Tash will perform the Beethoven 9th Chorale as the mezzo soloist with the Korean- American Symphony at Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall.
