IOWA WILD REPORT – FEBRUARY 25, 2020 Iowa Wild went 2-1-0 in three games last week and DATE OPPONENT LOCATION TIME (CT) is 21-5-2 in its last 28 games. Iowa won its first Tue., February 25 Chicago Wells Fargo Arena 7 p.m. game of the week, 3-2, against Milwaukee at UW- Sat, February 29 Stockton Stockton Arena 9 p.m. Milwaukee Panther Arena (2/19). F Kyle Rau, F Mon., March 2 San Jose SAP Center at San Jose 9 p.m. Dmitry Sokolov and F Nico Sturm each scored for the Wild and G Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 29-of-31 shots. The Wild fell in its second game of the week, 4-3, against the Stars at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park (2/21). F Sam Anas, Rau and Sokolov scored and Kahkonen made 20 saves. Iowa earned a 4-0 shutout victory at Texas (2/22) in its final game of the week. F Brandon Duhaime, F Luke Johnson, F Mike Liambas and D Hunter Warner scored and Kahkonen stopped all 30 shots faced for his fourth shutout in his last nine games. F Gerald Mayhew, recalled by the Wild Sunday, leads the AHL in scoring with 61 points (39-22=61) and GWG (10), ranks T-2nd in PPG (13) and third in shots (176). Anas leads the AHL in assists and PPA (28) and ranks second in scoring with 60 points (18-42=60). D Brennan Menell leads AHL defensemen in scoring and assists and ranks second in PPA (18). D Louie Belpedio ranks fourth amongst AHL defensemen in shots (138). Kahkonen leads the AHL in wins (23) and shutouts (six), ranks fourth in GAA and T-5th in SV%.
