Gujarat’s world-class infrastructure and transparent and effective governance are building a new business gateway for India. Gujarat’s development success is reaching all 13,000 village centres which are globally connected with broadband internet through satellite technology, the largest network in Asia. This is the promise to the people of accessible governance in the present technology era. Already Gujarat’s per capita income levels have increased phenomenally and Gujarat’s per capita electricity consumption is now almost twice the country average which highlights the quality of life our people are enjoying. Primary Responsibilities: The Government of Gujarat has many Departments and interns can be placed with the Department according to their interest and expertise. Departments include: Health, Education, Water Management, Ports, Planning, Agriculture, Energy, Finance, Women and Child Development, Urban Development, Climate Change, and Tribal Development. The internship will be conducted at Gujarat Government Secretariat Offices (16km from Ahmedabad international airport). Schedule: Flexible in Summer 2012. Stipend/Assistance: Accommodation can be provided in some cases, but is not guaranteed.
