(See Figure Map A). These tenures are located approximately 100 kilometers north of Victoria, in NTS Map (BCGS) 092B092 The tenure are located 2 km west of the town of Chemainus BC, on the Chemainus River. Access to the tenure is west at the intersection of Henry Rd and HWY #11 Chemainus. The tenure is located approximately 0.50 of a kilometer on Henry Rd. The tenure owners also own surface rights / property on 3317 Henry Rd (outlined Fig Map C+D). Access is also from walking trails west of the tenure located off of Grace Road which is gated and controlled by the District of North Cowichan; this access is also to the Chemainus River and the eastern portion of the tenure. The remainder of the tenure is local residence private properties. Topographic Conditions and Climate: The area of interest is the Chemainus River and the geological features of the structure of the steep slopes within the tenure. Climatic conditions are temperate with an abundant of rainfall in the fall, winter and spring. Snow may be seasonal in the upper portions of the tenures during the late months of December to mid February depending on rainfall. Summer conditions can be very dry and hot during mid July to the end of September. Generally though, the mild west coast weather usually presents climatic conditions that allow for a long exploration season. Area Geology: Vancouver Island lies within what is known as the Canadian Cordillera and is also classified as Wrangella. The Southwestern part of Vancouver Island is predominantly underlain by Paleozoic and Mesozoic strata intruded by Jurassic and Tertiary Intrusions. The S+S Claim is underlain primarily by the Paleozoic age Sicker Group which comprises well differentiated volcanic rocks with interbedded tuffaceous, carbonaceous and volcaniclastic sedimentary rocks. These rocks are strongly deformed (commonly schistose) and are regionally metamorphosed to lower to upper green schist fades. There are three documented structures within the immediate area, The Sicker Formation, the Cowichan Uplift and the Fulford Fault 3 Le Baron Prospecting Port Renfrew, BC Area Geology - continued Multiple bands of sedimentary rock have been documented within the Chemainus River within the tenure boundary. Within the layers there are multiple layers of fossils, from shells to prehistoric crustations. (See photos). To date no intrusive rock outcrops of the Sicker Formation have been located within the tenure, however an abundance of intrusive alluvial rock within the Chemainus River. Summary of the Exploration: A total of 5 sediment samples were obtained utilizing a sluice box within the Chemainus River within the tenure boundary. 5 rock chip samples were taken of the sedimentary layers, 2 fossils (see photos) were obtained. The 5 stream sediment samples obtained were sent away for assaying. (See certificate of analysis). An overview discussion of the samples submitted for assaying. Silver. Five samples submitted present values in anomalous concentrations (0.01 ppm to 0.04ppm) the Ag shows a low concentration Aluminum Five samples submitted present values in anomalous concentrations (0.93 ppm to 1.19 ppm) the Al shows a low / moderate concentration Arsenic: Five samples submitted presented arsenic values in anomalous concentrations (1.9 ppm to 12.4 ppm) the As shows a correlation to the possible values of Au which may be present but were not determined by the low sample weight. Gold: Five rock chip samples submitted only were analyzed for Au; however as per the Certificate of Analysis completed by ALS Minerals (Appendix 1 of the certificate) The analytical method used (ME-MS-41) the Au could not be determined by the method used and the results are semi - quantitive due to the small sample weight used (<0.2 ppm) Boron Five samples submitted showed no detectable limits (<0.10ppm) Barium Five samples submitted presented values in anomalous concentrations (40 ppm to 60 ppm) Beryllium Five samples submitted presented low values in anomalous concentrations (0.11 ppm to 0.18 ppm) Bismuth Five samples submitted presented low values in anomalous concentrations (0.002 ppm to 0.05 ppm) 4 MineralTitles M Online.
