The Passenger Dedicated Line between Shijiazhuang and Zhengzhou was put into commercial operation on December 26, 2012 and has been successfully operational for about 17 months. 50 pairs of trains operate on the new line between the two cities, a Public Disclosure Copy substantial ramp up in capacity since it opened with 36 pairs. The non-stop trains between the two cities take only 81 minutes for a distance of 412 km (a remarkable average speed of 300 kph).
