Erma Erma McFarland McAbee, 84, formerly of Bethesda, died Monday, January 11, 1988 in Forest Hills Nursing Home, St. Clairsville. She was bom Sept. 12,1903 at St. Gairs- ville, daughter of the late John and Gertrude Taylor McFarland. She was a member of South Main Qiurch of Christ at Bethesda. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McAbee, four brothers, a sister, and a granddaugh­ ter, Randy LaRue Weller. Surviving are a son, Robert of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter Eileen LaRue of St. Clairsville; four grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Services were held at 11 a.m JThursday from the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda, with Stan Kirtlan and Everett Hutson officiat­ ing. Burial was made in Union Cemetery, Morristown. Robert McAbee Robert H. McAbee, 83, Glenwood Village, Bethesda, died March 18, 1987 in Bamesville Hospital. He was bom Oct. 1, 1903 at Martins Ferry, son of Albert and Ida Brown McAbee. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp., retired caretaker at Epworth Park, Bethesda, and a member of S. Main St. Church of Christ, Bethesda. Two brothers, a sister and a $2 granddaughter preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Erma Pa McFarland McAbee; a son, Robert of Indianapolis, Ind.; a daughter, Eileen LaRue, St. Clairsville; four ! granddaughters and five great­ grandchildren. Services were held Saturday from the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home with Rev. Everett Hutson officiating. Burial was made in Union Cemetery, Morristown. I .st Jennie McAdams Jennie Rose Fallova McAdams, 78, of Carla Avenue, ' McMechen,W.Va.,died Wednes­ day, April 6, 2005, at her sis­ ter's home in Ben wood. Jennie was bom in Benwood, March 29, 1927, the daughter of the late Vincent and Virginia Caporiccio Fallova. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Benwood, and was a former employee of Wheeling Tile, Stone & Thomas and Kroger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Vincent, Louis, Frank and Patsy Fallova; a sister, Theresa Canestraro and her fiance’, William “Bill” Flatley. Surviving are her five sisters, Mary Parravani, Carmella Pet- rone, Margaret Gongola, all of Benwood, Lena Malolepszy of Shadyside, Ohio, and Maggie Cannarella of Warwood; a brother, Mike Fallova and his wife Margaret of Benwood; sev­ eral nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Friday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall Street, McMcchen. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2005 at St. John Catholic Church, Benwood, with the Rev. Joseph Hayden, S.J. as celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. She was born Aug. 5 1905 in Mt. Pleasant, Pa., a daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Jennings Weaver. She was a former teacher in the Westemoreland County School System and a member of the Cal­ vary Presbyterian Church and the Garden Club, both in St. Clairsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Dare McAdoo; a brother, Edward M. Weaver. Surviving are a son, John Dare McAdoo Jr. of Murraysville, Pa.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at the conve­ nience of the family. McADOO, Merle E. ‘Gene,” 75, of Claysville, Pa., lied peacefully at his home Fri- 3ay, February 4, 2005, sur­ rounded by his loving wife and :hildren. Born July 1 1,1929, Gene was the son of Margaret McB- room and Alan C. McAdoo. Gene was Protestant by faith. He was a mechanic for Valley Camp Coal Company and Mari­ etta Coal Company. A Korean War veteran, Gene was a member of American Legion Post 656 of West Alexander for 52 years. In addition to being an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman, Gene loved his quiet life on the farm. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Betty J. Cunningham McAdoo; two daughters, Diana Newland (Russ) of Houston, Texas and Bonnie McAdoo of Normalville, Pa.; two sons, Dr. Mark E. McAdoo (Debbie) of Athens, Ohio, and Michael C. McAdoo (Lori) of Gibsonia; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Eliz­ abeth, and Shannon McAdoo, and Lauren, Megan, and Sean McKee. Also surviving are a sis­ ter, Adelaide Hilliard; and two brothers, Clifford and Ross McAdoo. Deceased are sisters, Bernice Thompson, Elizabeth Suther­ land, Ethel Allen, Alma White- head, and Mildred Carman; and brothers, Fred, Orville, and Albert McAdoo. He was born October 31. 1923 in West Alexander, a son of the late Allen C. and Margaret S. McBroom McAdoo. He was a veteran of World War II. serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. McAdoo was pro- mote*d three srades from Cor­ poral to Technical Sergeant for exemplar}' performance in action during the Leyte and Okinawa campaigns.
