Tyler Hilton Returns with Mature New Album Indian Summer

Tyler Hilton Returns with Mature New Album Indian Summer LISTEN: Indian Summer (on Souncloud) Buy: Indian Summer (on iTunes) Today marks the release of Indian Summer, the 3rd full-length release from noted singer/songwriter Tyler Hilton. Indian Summer is far and away the most mature release of Tyler Hilton’s decade-long career, with carefully crafted arrangements and thoughtful song structures that can only come when an artist has grown into his own skin. Indian Summer is an intimate piece of Americana that exemplifies Tyler having reached the next chapter in his creative journey. It lives in the crosshairs of folk, country and pop, and Tyler’s growth as an artist since the release of “Forget The Storm” in 2012 shines through prominently in tracks like "California" and "Times’ A Wastin". You can stream the whole record on Tyler’s Soundcloud or buy it now on iTunes, where it was handpicked for prominent feature in the singer/songwriter category. Tyler Hilton, also known for his turn portraying Elvis Presley in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line and as Chris Keller on the show One Tree Hill, has made a name for himself in the musical world through his earnest lyrical content and detail-oriented songwriting, ensuring that each pass through a track will be accompanied by a realization that there is yet another thing you love about his music. His major label debut The Tracks of Tyler Hilton was released a decade ago (2004) on Warner Bros. Records. In the time since, Tyler has recorded covers for the critically beloved Walk The Line soundtrack and has appeared on each of the One Tree Hill season soundtracks. In 2012, Tyler self-released a very raw, honest record in Forget The Storm. On that album we got to see Tyler really develop as a songwriter forming his own sound, which Rolling Stone compared to a modern Howie Day. With Indian Summer, his first album since his recent engagement to longtime actress Megan Park, we see a more mature songwriter. Ultimately the record is a handcrafted coming-of-age exploration into early manhood, family and home life. This led to a more country-tinged record. As Tyler puts it "I've been getting in touch with myself as 'the man' instead of the boy, or the person, or the guy. It's the first time I've really wanted to be a man as opposed to anything else and music has always lent itself to those types of heroes”. Indian Summer is out everywhere today. Stay tuned as Tyler hits the road on select dates and continues to release more content in support of Indian Summer.
