Big 12 powers TCU and Baylor were both left out despite impressive resumes that 1 - TCU included just one loss and they were skipped over for 2- Ohio State a one-loss Ohio State squad. Well, in the end all was 3- Alabama forgiven as the Buckeyes knocked off Alabama and Oregon to win the National Championship. Now the 4- Baylor question is whether or not Ohio State can repeat? 5- Georgia Well the Buckeyes are right in the mix, but this year we are forecasting that the Big 12 will get two teams 6- Michigan State into the Final Four as both TCU and Baylor again 7- Florida State look like super powers capable of joining Alabama and Ohio State in the 2015 Playoffs. The SEC has 8- Auburn two other prime contenders in Georgia and Auburn 9- Oregon who rank #5 and #8 in our poll, plus you could also 10 - Southern Cal make a case for Ole Miss at #11 and LSU at #14. The Michigan State Spartans will try to be the other 11 - Mississippi Big Ten team this year and they come in at #6, while 12 - Notre Dame the Florida State Seminoles remain the top team in the ACC at #7 and a decent candidate to return to the 13 - Stanford Final Four this year. Same goes for #9 Oregon who 14 - LSU will find out what life is like with Marcus Mariota and the Ducks hope they can win another PAC-12 title, 15 - Georgia Tech but face VERY strong competition from #10 USC and 16 - Wisconsin #13 Stanford. The wild card in the national rankings 17 - Oklahoma remains the Notre Dame Fighting Irish who check in at #12, but one could only imagine the pressure from 18 - Arizona State the TV folks to include Notre Dame in the Playoff if 19 - Penn State they are close to the top four come December. The bottom part of our Top 25 is filled with a num- 20 - UCLA ber of usual suspects like Wisconsin and Oklahoma 21 - Arkansas who are both a bit lower than normal, as is UCLA who 22 - Tennessee checks in at #20 in our rankings but will likely be a lot higher when the actual pre-season polls come out. 23 - Boise State What might be interesting to college football fans is 24 - Virginia Tech the return of some old favorites here as Penn State makes a return at #19, as do SEC suqads Arkansas 25 - Clemson and Tennessee who are making a big comeback after some rough seasons. One team we skipped over is Other Teams to Watch: Missouri, Arizona State who checks in at #18 and good old Oklahoma State, Texas
