This year we are continuing in Seattle, where this conference series began, and home to a vibrant technical community. Our conference aims to: Share knowledge, network, and cooperate in the humanitarian and emergency management fields. Impact the lives of billions of disadvantaged a people and vulnerable groups around the world. Focus attention on innovators for humanitarian technologies that promote successful practice. Attract humanitarian and emergency management practitioners to learn from their successes and guide future research. Contribute to a worldwide movement to advance technology for humanity, including related conferences around the world, supported by IEEE Humanitarian Activities Committee. Supporting engineering volunteers: IEEE SIGHT chapters, IEEE Smart Village teams, Engineering for Change (E4C) and Engineering without Borders (EWB). Our conference features a full program of workshops, technical papers, case studies, demonstrations, posters, distinguished panels, exhibits, awards and a student paper contest.
