I All-Americans Powered By www.diamond-sports.com TUCSON, Ariz. — The Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division I All-American baseball teams and National Player of The Year, powered by Diamond, were announced today. The 17-man first team, chosen by performances up to regional playoffs and picked by the staff of Collegiate Baseball newspaper, features 12 conference players or pitchers of the year, including: • LHP Ethan Small, Mississippi St. (Pitcher of Year Southeastern Conference). • RHP Alek Manoah, West Virginia (Pitcher of Year Big 12 Conference). • LHP Jake Agnos, East Carolina (Pitcher of Year American Athletic Conference). • RHP Ryan Garcia, UCLA (Pitcher of Year Pac-12 Conference). • RHP Noah Song, Navy (Pitcher of Year Patriot League). • C Adley Rutschman, Oregon St. (Player of Year Pac-12 Conference). • 1B Bobby Seymour, Wake Forest (Player of Year Atlantic Coast Conference). • 3B Kody Hoese, Tulane (Player of Year American Athletic Conference). • SS Joey Ortiz, New Mexico St. (Player of Year Western Athletic Conference). • OF Jake Sanford, Western Kentucky (Player of Year Conference USA). • OF JJ Bleday, Vanderbilt (Player of Year Southeastern Conference). • OF Kevin Strohschein, Tennessee Tech. (Player of Year Ohio Valley Conference). Adley Rutschman of Oregon St. is Collegiate Baseball’s National Player of The Year (.419, 17 HR, 9 2B, 57 RBI). The switch-hitting catcher for the Beavers has a rocket for an arm as he threw out 13 runners in 26 attempts over 55 games. He has walked a nation-leading 73 times this season and also is No. 1 with a .580 on-base percentage. Rutschman is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming MLB Draft. He was the 1,197th pick in the MLB Draft three years ago by the Seattle Mariners from Sherwood High School (Sherwood, Ore.)
