OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION (No 01) To: Team Manager - Mumbai Magicians Team Manager - Jaypee Punjab Warriors Date: 21 January 2013 Ref: Hero HIL Match 08 Mumbai Magicians v Jaypee Punjab Warriors 20 January 2013 Result of Protest A protest was received from Mumbai Magicians which stated that Jaypee Punjab Warriors played with 12 players during the last 5 minutes of the above match. The protest was submitted within the correct time and format as described in HHIL Regulations. A review of the video footage for the period after the last time out (4.57 minutes) confirms this was the case and this is accepted by Jaypee Punjab Warriors. The protest is subsequently upheld and the deposit of Rs50,000 is refunded to Mumbai Magicians. As a consequence, and in consultation with the Tournament Director (Barry Anderson), the Team Manager of Jaypee Punjab Warriors is suspended for one (1) match for allowing an additional player on the pitch during the last 4 minutes and 57 seconds of the above match. This suspension to take effect immediately. This means that Mr Jagbir Singh will take no part in the Jaypee Punjab Warriors match against Uttar Pradesh Wizards on 22 January 2013 and his place will be taken by the Stand-in Manager. If an appeal against this decision is to be raised, please refer to the process contained the HHIL Regulations dated 10 January 2013.
