Hampton had not lost at home since Jan. 28, March 9-14, 2015 Norfolk Scope Arena, Norfolk, Va. 2012, falling to Coppin State in overtime, prior to a loss to American back on Dec. 4 of last season. Hampton is 1-2 at home this season after falling 69-49 to No. 1 South Carolina on Dec. 17, and the Lady Pirates have won 11 of their last 13 home games. But when the Lady Pirates defeated Coppin State 50-47 in last year’s MEAC Tournament title game, they did just that. Head coach David Six has won the MEAC Tournament in each of his five seasons at the helm. During that span, Hampton is 62-2 in MEAC play (74-2 including MEAC Tourna- ment games). That stretch includes back-to-back seasons in which the Lady Pirates went undefeated in conference play; overall, the Lady Pirates have won 50 straight games against MEAC foes, includ- ing conference tournament games. Senior guard Blake Dietrick leads three Tigers in double MEAC Record 1-0 figures, averaging 15.4 points per game, while junior guard Michelle Miller is averaging 12.6 points per contest.
