Come Rain or Shine Joe RoCCisano, who toured with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra both before (1957–9) and after (1964) attending Crane, completed his studies 5. Celestial Blues at Potsdam State in 1963 with a BS in musiC eduCation. Moving to Los Angeles, he arranged charts for the Don Ellis Orchestra, toured with Ray 6. Monday's Child Charles in 1967 and 1968, and was a member of the Toshiko Akiyoshi - Lew Tabackin Big Band. In LA he formed a 15-piece ensemble Rocbop. 7. Drum Fantastique After his eventual return to NYC he formed a new big band, the Joe 8. Over the Rainbow Roccisano Orchestra, and released three acclaimed albums during the 1990s. The soundtraCk of the film Glengarry Glen Ross includes a track 9. Beginning to See the Light reCorded by the band: “Blue Lou”, written by Donald Fagen (of Steely Dan) espeCially for the band’s saxophonist Lou Marini. 10. ChiCkery RoCcisano arranged music for many of the top jazz stars, inCluding DoC 11. Theme Severinsen and Woody Herman. His score for the tune "Green Earrings" on the 1978 Herman album Chick, Donald, Walter, and Woodrow was Grammy nominated. His arrangement (co-written by Pete Christlieb) of “Hookin’ It” was a staple of the Louie Bellson Big Band as well as the Source: 10-inch LP Record M8OL-5953/5954, Donated by Dorothy Gregory Buddy RiCh Big band.
