The fraternity and sorority community at University of Delaware encompasses 3,858 students (21.8% of undergraduate students) through 47 groups which are currently organized into four overarching communities: The Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Congress (MGC), The Panhellenic Council (Panhel), and Special Interest Greek Council (SIGC). Fraternity and Sorority Life within the University Student Centers is dedicated to holistic student development and the promotion of a safe and healthy environment where diversity is celebrated by: · Advising individual students, chapters and councils; · Educating with purpose; · Advocating for fraternal values; · Supporting a culture of care for all community members; and · Collaborating with fraternal partners. Academic achievement is indeed a value of the community as evidenced by the all fraternity and sorority 3.274 GPA being higher than the all undergraduate 3.094 GPA.
