Achievements • A committee has been formed to study the development and management of workshops. • Enhancement of 70 railway stations. For 300 million EGP. • Development 278 level-crossing on the railway network. For 500 million EGP. • Renewal of 300 km tracks for 650 million EGP. • Enhancement of 2740 Passengers Coaches ( different degrees ) for 730 million EGP. Achievements • Amendment of the ENR low to allow the private sector and foreign investment in Rehabilitations of existing Lines and Construction and maintenance of new railway lines . New Air-conditioned Passenger Coach Stations Cairo Railway Station Alexandria Railway Station Underground Metro Sector Targets • Building the underground network (6 Metro lines) • The 3rd phase of line no.3 ( Attaba-Imbaba-Cairo university ) with length of 17.7 km for 1500 million Euro + 10.4 billion EGP. • The part no.1 of 4th phase of line no.3 ( Haroun – Nozha) with length of 5.15 km for 257 million Euro + 1.8 billion EGP. • The part no.2 of 4th phase of line no.3 ( hesham barakat – adly Mansour ) with length of 6.37 km for 224 million Euro + 3.5 billion EGP.
