Seton Hall 5 BULLDOG BITS -Katie Soderstrom was named BIGEAST Offensive Player of the Week (Feb. 22) after a hat trick performance in the Bulldogs’ 4-1 win over Dayton and a seven-point week between two Butler victories. -Anja Savich tied a Butler record for goals in a single game after recording four against Marian on Wednesday. This was also her first career hat trick. -Savich and Soderstrom are the only two players in the BIG EAST to record hat tricks so far this season. -10 different Bulldogs have scored at least one goal so far this season. As a team, Butler has drilled at least four goals in all three non-conference games. -Stephanie Rodriguez is 3-0 in the net for the Bulldogs with one shutout this year. -Amanda Kowalski was named BIG EAST Defender of the Week (Feb. 9) after the Bulldog’s 8-0 win at UIndy -Six different Dawgs scored in the season opener; Anja Savich and Gretchen Skoglund each had two scores apiece. -Stephanie Rodriguez was selected as the 2021 Preseason BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year -Rodriguez, along with Soderstrom and Savich, were named to the Preaseason All-BIG EAST Team.
