Community Group 13 I have been very fortunate to take on this role at a time when youth cricket at Hadleigh is thriving. This is largely due to the commitment, time and effort my predecessor Roy Soilleux put into the role for the previous 20 years or so, so thank you Roy. Of course, I would not be able to manage youth cricket at Special points of interest: Hadleigh without the dedication and support of my fellow Membership and Bar Prices youth coaches, Neil Read (U15’s), Colin Huggins (U11’s), Roy David Grosvenor Soilleux (U9’s) and Adam Fleming (All Stars) who volunteer 100 Club their time and expertise selflessly. I’d also like to thank our team of support coaches; Antonio Greenidge, Sam Handley, Ian Harrison, Spencer Young, Ben & Jack Read, Ruben Vapi- wala, Tommy Byrne and Justus Genthe who have all given their time and effort to support Monday night youth training. I was very pleased to see such a strong turnout week in week out at winter nets this year, where a lot of progress was made. The hard work put in by all was certainly evident during the season in matches where the coaching was put to good use. One of the things I have tried to develop since becoming Youth Manager is to encour- age our youth players to become an integral part of the club. I am pleased to say that 12 youth players currently play senior cricket for Hadleigh and are represented in all 4 Saturday teams, our Sunday team and the odd cup appearance. This is apparent throughout the league and in- dicative in the lack of numbers of children wanting to play.
