BLAZER AND SUIT JACKET TRIMS CORDING AND BRAIDING Jackets and blazers can be customised with corded, taped or bound edges as shown below. CORD AND BRAID TRIM There are two variants of trim that can be applied to embellish blazers for a more prestigious look. Cord is a twisted single or contrast colour trim that appears embossed on the blazer fabric. It is a standard 4mm width and is normally applied on the edge of the blazer, such as collar, lapels, etc. Braid appears as a flat ribbon trim and can be a variety of widths from 6mm up to 25mm wide. It can be taped on the edge of the blazer, or for the wider widths, bound over whereby it is “wrapped” around the edge of the blazer. So for example, if 16mm braid was applied, then approximately 7mm would be visible on the outside, 2mm for the fold, and 7mm on the inside of the blazer. MINUMUMS & LEAD TIMES Minimum order quantity requirements may be as low as 12 pieces specifically for blazer trim, however consideration should be given to any other minimums applicable to the order, e.g. badge embroidery.
