After you have laid out your drill points and center punched them, choose one of the center punched locations to start drilling. 2. Drill through the front of the drawer head with a high-speed hole saw and pilot bit at both locations you have marked. 3. Remove the 1 1/2” high-speed hold saw and pilot bit from the arbor. 4. Put the 1 1/2” carbide-tipped hole saw onto the arbor. 5. Insert the carbide-tipped hole saw in the drawer front and apply light pressure and begin to drill. Run the drill motor at 500 to 600 rpm to start. 6. Heat needs to be created in order for the carbide-Tippped hole saw to cut the bolt. At this point, you will have to apply heavy pressure while running the drill motor at approximately 800 to 900 rpm. (CAUTION: Special care should be taken when the hole saw is close to cutting through the material. The hole saw can grab the material and cause your drill motor to spin.) The drill motor needs to be cooled down 2 or 3 times during this process. 7. After you have finished drilling the first bolt, you should be able to start drilling on the second bolt with the used carbide-tipped hole saw. You may have to switch to a new carbide-tipped hole saw to finish drilling through the second bolt.
