We are thrilled to welcome you to the 34th Biennial Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) Convention. You are in for an exciting time as you experience the program planned and prepared by the 2011 LWML Conven- tion Programming Committee and hosted by the members of the 2011 Convention Host Committee from LWML Central Illinois District. It is our prayer that you will grow through the inspirational worship, singing, uplifting Bible study sessions, motivational mission speakers, opportunities to meet new people, and renew friendships and fellowship at meal times. Take the time to explore mission opportunities presented by the many informational exhibits and numerous other convention “extras” in this Midwest city by the river. We are sure you will enjoy this convention as we experience Being with Jesus – Living on the Edge. This convention manual provides most of the details you will need for your convention experience and will serve as a concise summary of the 2009-2011 biennium. Some have called this manual our LWML yearbook—you may want to save it for future reference. You will find other valuable items in your convention tote bag, including the first issue of the convention daily newspaper, Peoria Playbill, the convention space locator, and many items to review regarding LWML resources and products. Be sure to visit the exhibits where you will find many other informational resources. Need help or have a question? The LWML Information Booth has two locations – one in the registra- tion area in the Terrazzo Lobby and the other one above the escalator on the fourth level. They are staffed to answer any questions that you may have. The Message Center will be nearby in the Great Hall, street level for you to post a note to contact someone. Again, welcome! We are glad you are here.
