The Armpriest family is supposed to be located at Armpriest Prairie. NOTE: There is no Armpriest Prairie listed by USGS. There is a camp known as Brandon Camp shown in this area however. The camp is within the Siskiyou National Forest and is reached by Trail #1169. No other information was given in the report. (Not shown on Horse Sign Butte 1989 USGS Quad. map.) There are some ruins about 700 feet southeast of this airstrip in land owned by the Criteser Family according to the 1932 Curry County Metsker Land Ownership Atlas. May Criteser, born 1 November 1863, died 21 June 1934 is one of these burials. This may be reached by the Mule Creek-Marial Road (B.L.M. Road 32-9-142) east of Marial. SUMMERS Located on the rock in the State Park at Port FAMILY Orford. In May of 1969, the 3 graves of the Summers family were reburied here. Ralph Summers, died 1909. BILLINGS Located on the Rogue River Trail about 15 miles above Illahe in the Rogue River Wilderness Area. HUGHES Blanco lighthouse and about 200 feet to the FAMILY left (south) of the Cape Blanco Highway as it climbs up onto the plateau that overlooks the Sixes River. In a field there remain 6 headstones, but the bodies were removed to Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Portland in 1938. {September 1991} (Cape Blanco 1986 USGS Quad. map.) CARPENTER A ? ? ? T392 R14W ? AKA: 1. SNODGRASS There are 4 graves at the Snodgrass Farm FAMILY at Carpenterville. This is located on the old alignment of U.S. Hwy. 101, now called Carpenterville Frontage Road 18 miles north of Brookings NOTE: This site is on private property. No other information was given in the report. (Carpenterville 1986 USGS Quad. map shows 1 grave in Section 3.) At the junction with Edson Creek Road ahead, turn right still on North Bank Rogue River Road for another 0.7 of a mile. Reportedly one of these burials is Ethel Thomas. (Marial 1989 USGS Quad. map.) COLVIN GRAVE A ? 1 ? T378 R14W Perhaps located in Section 20, up Hunter Creek on the Leith Place (1978). COOLEY FAMILY A 0.01 5 3 Oct. 1897 T41S R13W S9 Near Harbor, west of U.S. Hwy. 101 and somewhere near Pedrioli Lane there is a 12 foot by 14 foot fenced plot with 3 graves. Reported by Mrs. Wooldridge. On the Thomas Sharp D.L.C. #41, RB #1908. NOTE: This site is on private property. (Not shown on Mt. Emily 1989 USGS Quad. map.) This was located on the Piercy Sweet Ranch in 1962. The monument for Mr. and Mrs. Crew was found on the north side of the Sixes River NOTE: This is located on private property. (Not shown on Sixes 1986 USGS Quad. map.) DAVIS'S PLACE, JIMMY A ? 5 ? An old burial site was reported as being on the road going up to Walton Miller's Place. NOTE: No other infomation was given with the report. DENMARK C 3 2 1880 T31S R15W 810 AKA: 1. FLORAS CREEK Located about 0.5 of a mile north of Denmark 2. LANGLOIS and about 3 miles south of Langlois on Floras 3. WILLOW CREEK Lake Loop. If travelling north on U.S. Hwy. 101 from Denmark turn left (west) off of the highway for 0.4 of a mile to a 90-degree turn right (north). The cemetery is on the left. One can continue ahead for a mile, turn right to the highway and then left (north) to Langlois. {26 May 1996) (Langlois 1986 USGS Quad. map.) EDDY, HARRIET A ? 5 1914 T30S R14W AKA: 1. MORRELL [?] Perhaps located in Section 26. Go 12 miles east of Langlois: it is on the H.E. Morrell Place on the East Fork of Floras Creek. Harriet aged 16, was the daughter of Frank and Fanny Eddy. NOTE: This site is on private property. A "Herb Morrill burial on Upper Floras Creek" may be in the same burial ground. Note the variant spelling. No other information was given in the report. (Not shown on Calf Ranch Mountain 1985 USGS Quad. map.) EDGERTON FAMILY A 7 7 7 T35S R12W S12 Located in the vicinity of Agness. Go north from the boat landing on the Rogue River along the main road to Illahe for about 0.5 of a mile. Continue another 0.25 of a mile past Rilea Creek to the junction of Siskiyou Forest trail #1171 turn right, up hill. It is about 0.35 of a mile along this trail to the graves, which are about 40 yards to the left of the trail.
