Apartment Selection Tip Sheet

Apartment Selection Tip Sheet

Apartment Selection Tip Sheet On May 4, single-person applicants and multi-person applicant groups can view their online apartment selection date/time slot in the Banner Student Housing application - for each apartment configuration for which they applied. This means if you submitted more than one application, you will see more than one date/time slot along with the corresponding apartment configurations. Before Selection: • You should review apartment floor plans prior to the selection date. • Multi-person applicant groups should discuss apartment preferences and selection plans, especially if you or someone in your group applied for multiple configurations. • Make a ranked list of apartments with your applicant group so the group representative can quickly go through the list of apartments and choose. • Apartments marked as loft indicate the apartment has two floors. There is a set of stairs inside the apartment. Loft-style apartments are found in Western Ridge. • Apartments marked as a flat indicate the apartment is on one floor. There are no stairs within the apartment. Flats are found in Western Ridge, 1106 N Weber and 1120 N Weber. • Apartments labeled as a one-bedroom apartment have a bedroom that is separate from the living area. • Apartments labeled as a studio apartment are designed with an open space plan, without a separate bedroom from the living area • All eight person apartments are three floors. The first floor is the living area and kitchen, and the second and third floors each have four single bedrooms, with a shared multi-use bathroom. • Email [email protected] with questions prior to selection. During Selection: • The single student applicant or student group representative must use Google Chrome to access Banner Student Housing. • Time slots are set at three minute intervals. • You can practice the online selection process beginning at 12 p.m. MDT on the day of selection when time slots are activated. • You cannot select and confirm an apartment until the date and time of the time slot. • You can still log on and select after your time slot has passed – but not before. • 1106 North Weber Street is labeled “1106” - apartment number. • 1120 North Weber Street is labeled “1120” - apartment number. • Ellingwood is labeled “ELLINGWD” – building A or B – apartment number. • El Diente is labeled “ELD” - apartment number. • When all apartments have been selected, a message in red font will read, There are no rooms available. After Selection • Student Housing will hand assign roommates to the apartment selected by a multi-person applicant group’s named representative. Roommates will not be able to view their 2021-22 housing assignment until after we have performed this task. • There are approximately 390 apartment beds available in online apartment selection, limiting how many apartment applicants will be assigned to the preferred apartment housing configuration. Students and student groups who are not successful in getting an apartment assignment, should plan to participate in online room selection. You might also consider adding your name to the Fall waitlist for an apartment should one become available over the summer months. .
