Mike Boon and Mr. Wong Kok Nyen Date : Saturday, 22 August 2015 Time : 9:00am – 11:00am Venue : Old Hokkien School, Chung Hua Primary School No 1, Jalan Tabuan, Kuching. SPEAKER'S BIOGRAPHY Ar. Mike Boon Chee Khian Ar. Mike Boon is a conservation architect, and has 15 years of experience in this field. Throughout his years of practice, he has served as the President of Sarawak Heritage Society, and is currently the Chairman of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia Sarawak Chapter (PAMSC). Some of his works include the conservation of the Old Courthouse, Square Tower, Fort Magherita, Fort Alice and the on-going Old Sarawak Museum. Throughput his conservation projects, he has undertaken research on the relevant architectural history of Sarawak, and is happy to share his experience. Mr Wong Kok Nyen Jointly organized by: Mr. Wong is a 70 year old pensioner who had about 30 years’ experience as a history teacher with the Chung Hua School Association, at both Chung Hua Middle School no. 1 and no. 3. He is currently serving as the Hokkien Association’s Treasurer. For his talk, he will be assisted by Mr. Chai, a writer, who is well-versed with the history of Hokkien Building. .
