Xiaocaohu- Urumqi and Urumqi-Kuytun: in upgradation, about 360 km * Jinghe-Alashankou (G3018): Motorway under construction; most parts of the existing roads - Grade I Highway Route 2:Hami-Turpan-Urumqi-Kuytun-Jinghe- Khorgos (1b) * Hami-Khorgos (G30): Motorway. Xiaocaohu- Urumqi, Urumqi-Kuytun: in upgradation, about 360 km Route 3: Hami-Turpan-Kashi-Torugart (1c) * Hami-Turpan (G30): Motorway. * Turpan-Karshi (G3012): Motorway * Karshi-Torugart: Motor & Class II Highways. Route 4: Hami-Tulufan-Karshgar-Irkeshtam (2a, 2b, 2d) * Hami-Tulufan (G30): Motorway. * Tulufan-Kashgar (G3012): Motorway. * Kashi-Yierkeshitan: Motorway & Class II Highways. Route 5: Urumqi-Tashkent (4a) * Most parts of the roads: Class II & above Highways Other Roads Connecting Land Ports -Kalasu (G313): Class III Highways -Khunjerab (G314): Class II Highways CAREC Transport Vision for 2030 Proposal: -The neighbouring countries could build roads of the similar technical standards Transport Facilitation Progress and Next Steps Progress since 2017 -With Uzbekistan Signed bilateral agreement on international road transport in 2017; Exchanged transport permits for 2018. -With Mongolia Jan. - Apr. , 2018, consultation on new Agreement and Protocol; Protocol initialed. -China-Kyrgyz Rep.-Uzbekistan Oct. 2017, Trial Operation of International Road Transport of Goods End of Feb. 2018, regular operation along the Route "Kashgar-Irkeshtam-Osh-Andijon-Tashkent 26/04/2018 Next Steps 1. With Mongolia - to sign the New Protocol in June, and the New Agreement in 2019; 2. With Pakistan - to start consultation on ammending the bilateral Agreement; 3. With Uzbekistan - to establish a data base for crew members, and try to open the transit transport routes via Uzbekistan 4. With Kyrgyz Rep. - to start consultation on ammending the bilateral Agreement; 5. China-Kyrgyz Rep. -Uzbekistan - to start consultation on ammending the trilateral Agreement; Next Steps 1. New bilateral Agreements: with Georgia, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan 2. With Tajikistan: to negotiate and conclude Protocol 3. With Kazakhstan: to have consultations on transit arrangements • Agreement on International Road Transport Faciliation among Governments of the SCO Member States -Signed in July 2014; -Efected on Jan. 1st, 2017; -Two Meetings in Beijing in 2017: for 1st Meeting of the JC of the Agreement and the implementation of the Agreement. -2nd Half of 2018, China: 1st Meeting of the JC of the Agreement.
