For more info email John Groschwitz at [email protected] REGISTER BY SEPTEMBE R 25 AT NATSTA.ORG These introductory seminars will be led by two renowned teachers from China BAGUA LINEAGE: Liu Shuhang Dong Haichuan Liu Shuhang was born in Tianjin in 1947. At age fourteen (1962), he moved in 董海川 with his granduncle Liu Fengcai and began his Bagua training along with Liu’s Cheng Tinghua grandson. After Liu’s grandson died in his late teens, Liu Shuhang became the sole 程廷华 family member to carry on the Gao Bagua lineage. He trained intensively with Liu Gao Yisheng Fengcai until 1976, and has taught Bagua in Tianjin since 1984. Liu has conducted 高义盛 extensive research into the origin, development, and synthesis of Gao Style Bagua. With the aid of Professor Kang Gewu of the Chinese Martial Arts Research Liu Fengcai Institute in Beijing, he has traced all branches of the Gao Style Bagua family within 刘凤采 Mainland China. and, in 1991, assisted his grand-uncle and Wang Shusheng with Liu Shuhang Liu Shuhang, Wudang Straight Sword the re-publication of Gao Yisheng’s boxing manual, which he updated and 刘树行 expanded in 2005 and 2010. He is 8th Duan in the Chinese Wushu Association. XINGYI LINEAGE: Li Luoneng Li Cang 李洛能 Li Cang began his study of Xingyi at age six with his father Li Jingxuan. He Li Jingzhai trained alongside his father on Hero Mountain in Ji’nan, Shandong for five 李镜斋 decades until his father’s passing at age 106. He subsequently assumed responsi - Li Yingxun bility for teaching at various locations around Ji’nan including Hero Mountain, 李应埙 and established the Jingxuan Martial Arts Academy. In addition to Xingyi, he has trained Yang-style Taiji with his father and Cheng School Gao style Bagua with Li Jingxuan 李静轩 Liu Fengcai. He is currently 7th Duan in the Chinese Wushu Association, and Deputy President of the Ji’nan Xingyiquan Research Committee. Li Cang 李鸧 Li Cang, Zhou Tong Staff.
