As we are all aware today is the start of the Fourth Session. I would ask the Clerk if the Commissioner of Nunavut is prepared to enter the Chamber to open the Fourth Session of the Nunavut Legislative Assembly. Item 2: Speech from the Throne Commissioner Irniq (interpretation): Thank you. Please be seated. Elders, Mr. Speaker, Mr. Premier, Members of the Legislative Assembly, I am pleased to welcome you to the opening of the Fourth Session of the First Legislative Assembly of Nunavut. This brief, short speech is intended as an update on government initiatives since October 1999 and as a bridge to further government activities in the new session which the law requires the Commissioner to initiate at this point.
