How to reach Capri The Island of Capri can be reached by hydrofoil from Naples and Sorrento all year round. During the Summer, connections are also available from other places such as Positano, Amalfi and the Island of Ischia. Hydrofoils and ferries • From Sorrento Ferries and hydrofoils to Capri depart from the port of Marina Piccola. The port can be reached both by bus and taxi and on foot from the town centre. Journey duration may vary depending on weather conditions: 20 min. by fast boat, 30 min. by ferry. For the latest update, check the website www.capri.net. • From Naples Boats departs from two docks: Molo Beverello for fast boats and Calata di Massa for ferries. An inter-terminal shuttle runs every few minutes with a journey time of approx. 5 min.. Private boats depart from “Luise” pier in Mergellina. Journey duration between Naples and Capri may vary depending on weather conditions: 45- 50 min. by fast boat and approx. 90 min. by ferry. • How to get to Molo Beverello from Naples Piazza Garibaldi railway station The port can be reached by underground in few minutes (exit Piazza Municipio Station), by bus and tram. A special bus connecting the port and the airport (Airbus) also stops at Piazza Garibaldi railway station - which is the only stop on this route. The port can be reached by taxi, as well – journey duration depending on traffic conditions. • How to get to Molo Beverello from Naples Capodichino airport Molo Beverello can be reached by bus or taxi. The Alibus coach connects the airport and the city centre from Terminal 1 – the only airtport’s terminal. Tickets can be bought on board. The journey duration is 40 minutes appr. – depending on traffic conditions. The only stop between the airport and Molo Beverello Port is Piazza Garibaldi railway station. Taxi station is just outside the airport. Ask the driver to apply fix rate before boarding the car. Travelling by car Non-residents’ vehicles are not allowed from the end of March to the beginning of November in Capri. Guests travelling by car are, therefore, recommended to leave their vehicles in a secure car park on the mainland. • Car parks near the port of Sorrento – Marina Piccola Car park is located close to the boarding area. There are numerous other car parks in town. • Car parks In Naples – Molo Beverello The closest car park is Buono car park. Should this be full, vehicles can be left in the Brin car park, which is close to the motorway exit. From there you will need to take a taxi or bus to get to the port. How to reach the center of Capri Capri Tiberio Palace lies in the heart of Capri town, at 11-15 Via Croce. The town centre can be reached by both bus and taxi. Be advised that Capri town centre, where Capri Tiberio Palace is located, is a free traffic zone. This means that from the moment guests get off the taxi and/or bus, guest can only reach Capri Tiberio Palace on foot. A member of our staff will be awaiting our guests at Marina Grande port. He will assist guests with directions on how to reach Capri Tiberio Palace and, upon request, will ensure that luggage is delivered directly to the hotel. Capri town centre and ‘Piazzetta’ can be reached by: • Funicular railway The funicular railway connects Marina Grande port and the town centre in just 3 min. The train departs every 15 minutes. The entrance to the funicular railway is located opposite to the docks. The ticket office is situated on the right of the port. • Taxis Taxi station is right outside the port. The fare to get to the centre of Capri is 15-20 euro. We advise guests who decide to take a taxi to still use the luggage delivery service, as taxis cannot get into the free traffic zone where the hotel is located. • Luggage Luggage handling service is organized by a local company – the only one being authorized – with pick-up at the port and delivery at the hotel. Fee is 12 euro per piece. .
