
JOB POSTING - Kids Tram Coordinator Posted: April 10, 2018 Post Until: Position Filled Department: Guest Services Supervisor: Guest Services Manager Pay Type: Seasonal, Part-time, Non-Exempt Position Dates: May – September (This position may be shared.) Job Description: Position will focus on coordinating Kids’ Tram summer activities. This position is 25 – 30 hours per week, weekdays and/or weekends. The position starts in May to prepare for the summer. General Functions: • Responsible for day of Kids’ Tram functions to ensure a successful experience for our guest. o Arrange for Kids’ Tram to be delivered to the Children’s Garden. o Deliver props to the tram prior to first departure and put away at the end of the day. o Be available as a back-up should drivers / narrators not show up. o Assist Kids’ Tram drivers and narrators with wheelchair ramps. o Make sure appropriate signs are in place. o Activate rainy day procedures when necessary. o Promote the use of Kids’ Tram beyond the public Kids’ Tram tour schedule. • Process all tickets through ticketing system. o Trouble-shoot ticketing problems if necessary. o Work with Admissions Desk staff to reconcile Kids’ Tram daily revenue with number of riders. • Administration of Kids’ Tram o Maintain schedule of Kids’ Tram drivers; arrange substitutions if necessary. o Update MODs and tram staff of changes or substitutions. o Review Kids’ Tram daily log. o Handle visitor complaints in a friendly, diplomatic, and empathetic manner • Monitor any maintenance issues that may arise. o Communicate problems to Tram Coordinator and Facility Maintenance. • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Tram Coordinator. Education and/or qualifications preferred: High school diploma. Prefer 2-3 years’ experience in customer service and/or hospitality field. Direct customer service contact with guests, computer experience in Word and Excel helpful. Ability to hear & enunciate clearly. Working Conditions: Some standing for long periods of time; fast paced indoor/outdoor environment in varying weather conditions. Occasional lifting of 30 pounds required.
