She was accompanied by Lt Gen YVK Mohan, GOC Rising Star Corps and briefed by Brig Ajay Malik, Commandant MH Jammu. She met all the injured individually, interacted with them and also discussed about ongoing treatment with team of doctors. The injured shared the life threatening horrors faced by them and the Raksha Mantri listened to them patiently, pacified them and assured of all suitable actions and befitting reply to the enemy for this misadventure. The Raksha Mantri burst into tears while interacting with Mrs Shahzada who gave birth to a baby girl despite being grievously injured by the terrorists. She comforted her with a affectionate hug. The RM again burst into tears while interacting with Miss Neha D/o Martyr Hony Lt Madan Lal Choudhary and gave her a motherly hug. She wished all of them a speedy recovery. The Raksha Mantri rushed to Jammu with primary focus to review the situation after the terrorists entered in Sunjuwan Military Station in which three terrorists were killed and six brave soldiers attained Martyrdom. She was received by Lt Gen YVK Mohan, General Officer Commanding, Rising Star Corps and Air Commodore SK Mishra, AOC, at Air Force Station Jammu. Raksha Mantri being briefed by GOC Rising Star Corps Lt Gen YVK Mohan on Sunjuwan Military Station attack The Raksha Mantri was briefed by the GOC Rising Star Corps about the operation and reviewed the situation by an aerial reconnaissance. She also discussed the operational integrities and other concerning issues with senior officers at Tiger Division. The Raksha Mantri visited Military Hospital Jammu and interacted with all the injured soldiers, families and children. She also called upon Ms Mehbooba Mufti Sayeed, the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir and discussed the prevailing security issues. The welcome address on this occasion was given by Maj Gen RGR Tiwari, Additional Director General of NCC Directorate (UP) who thanked the Governor for sparing valuable time to grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Maj Gen Tiwari said that the NCC Directorate (UP) has secured fourth position in Republic Day Camp 2018, out of Seventeen NCC Directorates across the country.
