Test Overview 1.1. Test Plan Use this Test Procedure in conjunction with Test Plan 4160-66182-000. If an instrument fails testing, it shall be documented and dispositioned using the APL RSN NC Record (Form 4010- 66052). 1.2. Test Description This procedure details the process of verifying basic correct operation and fulfillment of requirements prior to integration into RSN platforms and assemblies. Testing includes: basic power on and functional testing, electrical characterization, pressure testing, corrosion mitigation testing, insulation resistance testing, and burn-in. 1.4. Test Location APL RSN Laboratory facilities in Benjamin Hall and Henderson Hall unless otherwise specified. Test Output Data Specific output data needed is defined within each particular test section. 1.8. Test Safety All electrical equipment shall be handled and operated by qualified personnel in a manner consistent with best safety practices. Pressure testing shall be done by trained personnel only and it shall be done according to required procedures and practices put in place by the institution managing the pressure test facility. 1.9. Test Report All test procedure sections must be completed. Fully populating the supplied data input fields constitutes a test report. 2. Test Procedure 2.1. Pre-Test Instructions Step Description Results Verification 2.1. 1 Test Conductor is to review the following Steps with Test Team members. 2 The Steps in each Test Section shall be performed in order. If a Step cannot be performed as noted, the situation is to be resolved before proceeding. 3 The Test Sections shall be performed in order unless directed otherwise in by the Test Engineer, except that Section 2.11 shall be performed last. 4 Initial/sign each step successfully completed. Sign-offs and data entry shall be made using black or dark blue ink. 5 Corrections and as-run revisions to the procedure (“red lines”) shall be marked through with a single line to maintain legibility of the original. Corrected or added information or text may be written in at the point of change or as a foot note. Revisions shall be initialed and dated. 2.2. Calibrated Equipment Record Step Equipment ID. Certificate #: Verify the ranges and accuracies of the instrument meet the specification requirements. Attach copy of Certificate in Section 4. 3 Review material certifications. Review acceptable: Review the supplier’s material certification and verify the material is correct per the Purchase Order and supplier’s documentation. 4 Visual inspection of instrument. Condition acceptable: Verify instrument is free from damage. Verify dimensions, material appearance, and connectors or other attachments are correct per the P.O. and supplier’s documentation. 5
