CONTACT DETAILS 24 2 PREAMBLE For this Beach Soccer Season 2015, BSWW has established a World Ranking taking into account all the panorama of Beach Soccer events and competitions. The basis of the BSWW World Ranking takes into consideration many aspects and factors observed by the FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking. The weighting of the BSWW World Ranking follows a points-per-event system, where the position occupied in the standings of every event awards a determined amount of points to the given national team. There are 6 (six) types of categorized events, ordered from highest to lowest in points: 1. FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2. FBSWC – Confederation Qualifier 3. Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup (new category as of January 2015) 4. Continental Beach Soccer League 5. Continental Beach Soccer Cups & Games 6. BSWW Tours: BSWW Tour (Category 1) BSWW Tour (Category 2) 7. Friendly Matches (new points’ distribution as of January 2015) The following information explains and develops the criteria and point weight given to each of the mentioned categories. 1. ASSESSMENT PERIODS . AUG 2011 – JUL 2015: The BSWW World Ranking will consider last 4 years starting from Jul 2015 (Aug 2011-Jul 2015) in order to draw a more updated picture of the beach soccer standings, one that reflects a clearer reality of the sport. The period assessed meets a gradual decrease of the points weighting. Thus, the value of each year is 25% lower than the previous: □ August 2011 – July 2012; Year value: 25% □ August 2012 – July 2013; Year value: 50% □ August 2013 – July 2014; Year value: 75% □ August 2014 – July 2015; Year value: 100% The ranking will be updated and published monthly. 3 2. Weight = √(√(Av.2009-13x / BEST Av.2009-13)) f) If WEIGHT ≤ 0,85, the weighting value assigned will be = 0,85 2009 2011 2013 09-13 av. 09-13 WEIGHT Game total 32 32 32 96 Interconfederational total 30 31 32 93 total games 20 22 16 58 UEFA win 11,50 14,00 9,50 35,00 0,60 0,99 av per 0,58 0,64 0,59 1,81 game total games 15 12 11 38 CONMEBOL win 10,00 5,00 8,50 23,50 0,62 1,00 av per 0,67 0,42 0,77 1,86 game total games 6 10 7 23 CONCACAF win 0,00 4,00 3,00 7,00 0,28 0,82 av per 0,00 0,40 0,43 0,83 game total games 10 9 11 30 AFC win 3,50 0,00 2,50 6,00 0,19 0,75 av per 0,35 0,00 0,23 0,58 game total games 6 8 6 20 CAF win 2,00 3,50 1,00 6,50 0,31 0,84 av per 0,33 0,44 0,17 0,94 game total games 3 3 9 15 OFC win 1,00 1,00 3,50 5,50 0,35 0,87 av / game 0,33 0,33 0,39 1,06 Matches between national teams from different Confederation 4 3.
