The recovery of radio serials as a transmedia project in the Spanish public radio in Aragon: “Y si fuera posible amar” case study Ana Segura-Anaya University of Zaragoza [email protected] Patricia González-Aldea Carlos III University of Madrid [email protected] Carmen Marta-Lazo University of Zaragoza [email protected] Abstract Aragón Radio, the Spanish public radio in Aragón, launched in 2017 a transmedia project that, starting from a well-known medieval legend, "Los amantes de Teruel", recovered the radio serial model in a pioneering experience on Spanish radio. The project integrated in a innovative way the participation of the listeners. The present paper analyses how the project included the broadcast in FM, the podcast format, the programs and special actions with the public, and the use of social networks in its development. The ways of participation of the listeners and the printed publication of the libretto, with the full story in a new way based on a revised legend, allowed us to analyse the transmedia possibilities of the sound content of this fiction. To sum up, it´s an innovative radio experience that plays with new media formats from the traditional serial in a public medium.
