Tuesdays: Catholicism Video Series Join Fred McGavran as you journey around the world and deep into the Faith. Wednesdays: Virtual Mind Fit Series Join us for a fun and informative ongoing brain fitness group, led by brain fitness expert, Rosie Abel, from Home Care Assis- tance. In this weekly program, you will learn about proactive ways to enhance cognitive functioning, including fun group activi- ties used in the Cognitive Therapeutics Method™, a science based cognitive stimulation program. Fridays: Poetry with Fred & Rogers I Phone Class Fred McGavran who will offer up some of his favorite poetry readings each week. Roger Giesel will be offering a basic iPhone/iPad class for beginners. Though Anne demurred over the marriage because of Wentworth's poor social standing and connections, he has since become very successful, and when he visits, Anne must con- front the life she left behind. To escape an arranged marriage, Akeem flees to America accom- panied by his persnickety sidekick, Semmi (Arsenio Hall), to find his queen. Disguised as a foreign student working in fast food, he romances Lisa (Shari Headley), but struggles with revealing his true identity to her and his marital intentions to his king fa- ther (James Earl Jones). Length: 1hr 57min Music as a Mirror of History Class (May 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th) Discover the fascinating ways in which great works of music have interacted with historical events, in this eye-opening course taught by a celebrated composer and music historian. Paper Clips Holocaust Documentary (May 4th) Searching for an effective way to teach their students about the scale of the Holo- caust, school officials in Tennessee devise a unique class project involving paper clips. The middle school students in a rural, heavily Christian community begin collecting the paper clips to represent the Jews who perished in concentration camps in World War II. After millions of the paper clips are collected, the last step is to place them inside a German rail car, a poignant echo of the Final Solution. Unsung Heroes of World War II Class (May 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th) Look beyond the epic battles and military strategy to meet some of the ordinary people who made an extraordinary impact on World War II. May 13th: Alice at the Palace (1982) Oscar winner Meryl Streep stars in this delightful "music hall" version of Lewis Carroll's Al- ice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass. Also starring Emmy winner Debbie Allen. Length: 1 hr 12 m Bingo (May 18th) Join your neighbors for a few rounds of Bingo! Trivia (May 11th and 27th) There are many positive things you can do to keep your mind sharper for longer. And trivia is one! Join us as we exercise our brains with some fun afternoon trivia.
