Nataša & Matej Ocepek, Wedding couple An important event in our lives was just around the corner. We had still to make a decision – choose the photographer. And that was quite a challenge. We thought of our friend Tomaž and make the call. All was not that smooth, off course. We have a little baby boy, who had to get used to the camera. Not to mention my own problems in front of the lens. But Tomaž really helped us lots. We did a photo trial, where we really got close with our childern and also help with my fears and stage freight, so I was ready and relaxed on D day, so beautiful pictures could and were made. The work was not finished yet. The book was still to be made, where Tomaž really made great work and really went the extra mile. Our partnership with him is filled with beautiful memories and pictures, which hang on the walls of our house. Idea, that came from photographer Tomaž Zupan, that we use the floorboard of the barn for the background of each exhibit, was very impressive to me. Many of the readers of the promotional book, which also serves as a exhibition guide, look into the floor of the main hall because of those pictures and are excited about the idea. I am challenged by limitless possibilities of playfulness and movement in a limited space, adrenaline action, terrain. Reaction. How to create a photo which contains a lasting memory, how can you give it depth, forge a story into the photo? And in that moment, when the event occurs, catch it? There is no retry. My focus is on the HDR photography, my personal favourite is the B & W photography. I combine the new technological possibilities and the eternal classic.
