Summer fruits abound in this fizz with a slight yeasty note. 100% Glera (*vegetarian) 75cl ~ 30.0 // 125ml ~ 5.5 NV Sassomoro Lambrusco di Modena DOC (Pruno Nero), Castelvetro Emilia Romagna, Italy If you’ve never had a red sparkling wine, you are missing out. Sourced exclusively from the ancient alluvium Chiarli family vineyards at Castelvetro, this has a refreshing quality to it, yet still bold enough to enjoy with the usual red wine-friendly foods. Cranberries, raspberries and strawberries, with low acidity and very little tannin. 100% Lambrusco Sparkling 75cl ~ 35.0 NV Brut Mosaïque, Champagne Jacquart Champagne, France Sourced from exceptional vineyards, including the Grand Crus of the Cote des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, this bottling has been created by a cooperative of 40 wine growers. Light, golden yellow colour with fine, long-lasting bubbles. The bouquet is lovely and fresh with fruity grape and pear hints mingling with intense notes of bread crust. Fresh and rather powerful on the palate creating a balanced overall impression with a lovely, long-lasting finish; spice bread and fruit flavours. Served by the half (375ml) or full bottle (750ml). 45% Chardonnay; 40% Pinot Noir; 15% Pinot Meunier (*vegetarian, vegan) 37.5cl ~ 35.0 // 75cl ~ 60.0 NV Pol Roger Brut Reserve Champagne, France An equal blend of the three primary Champenois grapes, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from 30 different crus, along with 25% reserve wines, and then aged for 48 months. This family-owned maison celebrates 160 years of fine wine-making and although they may not carry the same brand recognition of Moët and Veuve, are nevertheless very highly-regarded in Champagne circles. A beautiful cuvee. 75cl ~ £70 10 WINES All list wines (unless otherwise stated) are available by the glass, in 175ml or 250ml measures or full bottle (750ml). WHITE Wine Alastro Bianco, Planeta | 80% Grecanico, 20% Sauvignon Blanc Sicily, Italy Incredible bang for buck with this Italian native grape. The blend of Grecanico and Sauvignon gives a nose rich with aromas of citrus, peach, lychee and white wild flowers, plus boxwood. In the mouth, it is vibrant, creamy and silky with hints of white melon. Dry, acidic and wonderfully refreshing. (vegan) 75cl ~ 30.5 Ken Forrester ‘Petit’ | 100% Chenin Blanc Stellenbosch, South Africa Hand-harvested old vine Chenin Blanc from Ken Forrester’s vineyards. We’ve had the pleasure of this producer’s company for a tasting at The Tippling House and having visited the vineyards in Stellenbosch themselves, we can only wax lyrical about the quality of his wines. This is an excellent entry-level, youthful yet with the mouthfeel that we come to expect from a South African Chenin Blanc. Expect minerals, citric aromas and stone fruits. (minimal intervention) 75cl ~ 26.0 // 175ml ~ 6.1 // 250ml ~ 8.7 11 “Massaccio” Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore, Fazi Battaglia | 100% Verdicchio Marche, Italy Massaccio is Cupramontana’s historic name, the town the beautiful vineyards for Verdicchio Classico Superiore overlook. A touch of noble rot produces this rich, concentrated Verdicchio, which has spent 5 – 6 months on the lees, and another 8 months bottle-aging.
