Sapta Badri with Panch Prayag Tour‐Trek (Sep‐Oct.2015) Sapta Badri (Sanskrit: सत बद्री) constitutes a group of seven sacred Hindu temples, dedicated to god Vishnu, located in Garhwal Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Badrinath temple (बद्रीनाथ), called the Badri vishal (बद्री िवशाल) (altitude 3,133 m (10,279 ft)) is the primary temple among the seven shrines, followed by six others, namely, Adi Badri (आिद बद्री), Vridha Badri (वधृ बद्री), Dhyan Badri (यान बद्री), Ardha Badri (अअध र् बद्री), Bhavishya Badri (भिवय बद्री) and Yogadhayan Badri (योगयान बद्री). The Panch Badri (पंच बद्री) temple circuit consisted of only five temples, omitting Ardha Badri and Dhyan Badri or sometimes Vridha Badri. Rarely, Narasingh Badri (निृ सहं बद्री) is included in the Sapta Badri or Panch Badri list. Panch Prayag (Sanskrit: पंच प्रयाग) is an expression in Hindu religious ethos, specifically used to indicate the five sacred river confluences in the Garhwal Himalayas in the state of Uttarakhand, India. The five prayags. Prayag means "confluence" in Sanskrit also termed as “Prayag pentad”, namely the five river confluences, are Vishnu Prayag, Nand Prayag, Karna Prayag, Rudra Prayag and Dev Prayag, in the descending flow sequence of their occurrence. Visit Adi Badri (आिद बद्री) 240 km drive. Overnight stay at Karna Prayag. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Day 4: 03/10/15 Karna Prayag to Joshimath. On the way visit Vridha badri (वधृ बद्री) 80 km drive, 300 mtr trek. Hotel Stay in Joshimath. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Day 5: 04/10/15 Joshimath to Tapovan. On the way visit to Narsingh Badri (निसृ हं बद्रीद्री) and move to Dhyan Badri (यान बद्री), Urgam Valley and Back to Tapovan. 70 km drive, 02 km trek. Hotel Stay in Tapovan.
