The full itinerary will include public welcomes, color and pageantry and trips to the centennial cities of Brandon and Selkirk as part of their 100th birthday celebrations. Her Canadian tour begins Sunday July 4 when she arrives at Ottawa, and will involve visits to the Yukon and Saskatchewan before arriving in Winnipeg July 14. It ends with her departure from Ottawa July 18. Here are the details of her Manitoba visit: WEDNESDAY JULY 14. 12.40 p.m. -- HRH arrives in WINNIPEG at International Airport, and is met by Lt. Gov. Pearl McGonigal and Premier Howard Pawley. 1.00 p.m. -- After a drive in an open car, arrives at Legislative Building for formal outdoor welcome, including 21-gun salute and honour guard. HRH will walk about with premier through spectators, meet officials, and enter the Legislative Building for a welcome in the Chamber and for a cabinet luncheon. 3.05 p.m. -- Visits the Franco-Manitobain Cultural Centre. 4.00 p.m. -- Meets Royal Visit organizers at Government House. 4.15 p.m. -- Receives members of the Manitoba media, Government House. 7.25 p.m. -- Arrives at Assiniboia Downs racetrack via open landau with uniformed, mounted escort, watches races (3rd to 6th races), and presents trophy to the winner of The Princess Anne Stakes (7th race). -more- PAGEANTRY, COLOR -2- THURSDAY JULY 15. 10.10 a.m. -- Arrives at Winnipeg City Hall for civic welcome. 10.30 a.m. -- Boards train at CPR depot for trip to Brandon. 11.30 a.m. -- "Whistle stop" at PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE to meet mayor, officials and greet crowd (10 minutes). 1.30 p.m. -- Arrives CPR station, BRANDON, and proceeds in open carriage (with other officials following in antique cars) along processional route to Brandon City Hall. 1.55 p.m. -- Arrives City Hall for civic welcome, including honor guard, band, address of welcome, walkabout among veterans, disabled persons and children's groups, followed by a reception inside City Hall to meet council. 2.45 p.m. -- Unveils plaque at new Centennial Library/Arts Centre. 2.55 p.m. -- Tours McKenzie Seed Plant. 5.45 p.m. -- Arrives at federal Research Centre to tour facilities, to meet mayors and councillors of centennial towns and to attend civic barbeque. 7.25 p.m. -- Arrives at Keystone Centre, tours modern and old farm machinery, and attends rodeo. 8.40 p.m. -- Leaves the Brandon CPR depot for Winnipeg. FRIDAY JULY 16. 10.00 a.m. -- Leaves Government House by car for SELKIRK. 10.30 a.m. -- Arrives Selkirk Psychiatric Institute for tour of facilities. 11.05 a.m. -- Arrives cenotaph for ceremony, including honor guard, music by Stadacona Band, and wreath-laying. 11.20 a.m. -- Arrives at Marine Museum for tour. 11.45 a.m. -- Meets officials and attends civic luncheon aboard M.S. Lord Selkirk. 1.30 p.m. -- Attends opening performance of the 1982 Canada Heritage Festival at Selkirk Park. This is the heart of the Selkirk celebrations, where a crowd of 5,000 is expected. The festival includes amateur folkloric performing arts, sponsored by the federal Secretary of State for Multi- culturalism and the Manitoba Department of Cultural Affairs. The activities here will include walkabouts among the crowd. PAGEANTRY, COLOR -3- FRIDAY JULY 16. (cont'd) 2.15 p.m. -- Tours Manitoba Rolling Mills. 6.20 p.m. -- Attends 1 1/4-hour Gala Performance at the Centennial Concert Hall, Winnipeg, followed by backstage visit with performers and a walkabout among the spectators in the foyer and piano nobile. 9.00 p.m. -- Attends state dinner at Government House. SATURDAY JULY 17. 10.30 a.m. -- Visits All Saints Church, meets with Canada Save the Children Fund officials and presents certificates to ten fund workers. 11.15 a.m. -- Visits Kiwanis Centre for the Deaf. 12 noon -- Attends outdoor federal luncheon, St. John's Ravenscourt School. 1.45 p.m. -- Ceremonial departure for Ottawa from CFB Winnipeg. -30- .
