Although most of the institutions listed are in the US, some Canadian institutions are included as well as a number of junior and community colleges. Specific purposes of this publication are to: help financial aid officers verify schooling allowances; facilitate cooperation among colleges with mutual aid applicants; serve as a reference for scholarship sponsors; and create a greater awareness of college costs and a subsequent demand for financial aid to students. Expenses reported cover a normal academic year. Data are divided into sections on: state, tuition and fees, resident budgets, commuting budgets, and out-of-state charges. This year, for the first time, junior and community colleges have been included in this listing. Some Canadian institutions are also included. Its aim is (1) to assist financial aid officers in setting appropriate schooling allowances as adjustments to entries made in Parents' Confidential Statements, and (2) to facilitate cooperation between colleges on appropriate awards to mutual financial aid candidates. Data for the publication have been compiled from the information each institution submitted to the College Scholarship Service on the form, "College Estimate of Student Expenses." Some colleges do not appear because they requested exclusion, filed incomplete data, or returned their data too late to be included in the listing. The information is reported as submitted by the individual colleges. It includes tuition and living expenses, varying amounts for personal expenses, books, travel, or commutation expenses. Because some institutions did not enter any amounts for several of these items, it was necessary to leave certain items blank. Each report on a college or university is divided into the following sections: 1. Tuition and Fees - includes tuition, general, university, college or state institutional fees if identified. In some cases, adjustments or averages were made on the listing. Deviate charges for certain curriculums or student classifications could not be accommodated. 2. Resident budgets - includes all tuition charges, fees, room and board, books, personal expenses, and travel allowances entered by the college or university. 3. Commuting budgets - includes all tuition charges, fees, books, commutation and maintenance allowances entered by the college or university. 4. Out-of-state charges - includes the additional fee the college or university entered as a charge to students who are not residents of the state in which the institution is located. Some colleges also have charges for out-of-community and district students. For simplicity these have been combined and shown as out-of-state charges. 5. An asterisk (*) indicates an institution which has a guaranteed tuition or fixed cost plan. The staff of the College Scholarship Service hopes that financial aid officers will find this publication helpful, and it welcomes comments that will assist in the preparation of future editions. The abbreviations for states are those in use in the Bulletin of InformationCalle e Board Admissions Tests. ON is used to indicate Canada. 2 NAME OF INSTITUTION STATE1 TUITIONFEESAND MALERESIDENTBUDGETSFEMALE MALECOMMUTINGBUDGETSFEMALEOUTCHARGESSTATE OF ABRAHAMABILENE CHRISTIANBALDWIN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE COLLEGE TXGA 1050260 25001240 25001240 23301140 23301140 230 ACADIAACADEMY UNIVERSITY OF THEAERONAUTICS NEW CHURCH CNPANY 613480980 154017981610 17981610 168011901563 16801563 ADELPHIADAMS STATE UNIVERSITYSUFFOLK COLLEGE COL OF ADELPHI U NYCO 19151570320 295035651540 295035651540 297026651360 297026651360 250 ADIRONDACKAGNESADRIAN SCOTTCOLLEGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE COLL NYGAMI * 14351232350 26171825 261728851E125 20252307 230720251950 350 AGRICLTRLAGRICULTURALAGRICULTRAL AND AND ANDTECH TECHTECH COLL COLLCOLLEGE AT ATMORRISVILLE FARMINGDALEAT ALFRED NY 475511500 200015551798 205018181555 149013711750 139117501490 600700'711 AGRICULTURAL AND TECH COLLEGECOLL AT ATCOBLESKILL DELHICANTON NY 505551510 220018601805 220018601780 200010501275 125020001050 600751 2 TUITIONAND RESIDENTBUDGETS COMMUTINGBUDGETS OUTSTATE OF AGRICULTURALNAME OF MECHANICALINSTITUTION AND NORMAL COLL STATEAR FEES230 MALE1414 FEMALE1414 MALE1450 FEMALE1450 CHARGES200 ALABAMA COLLEGECHRISTIANAGRICULTURAL COLLEGE AND MECHANICAL COLL AL 300260390 15001080 15001130 1150900890 1150900940 750210 ALBANYALASKA STATEMETHODIST COLLEGE UNIVERSITY CTGAAK 10401200315 14052530 270025801475 2405920 24301800990 330 CT1 ALBRIGHTALBIONALBERTUS COLLEGE COLLEGEMAGNUS COLLEGE MIPA 15201750 29502970 29502970 22002470 24702200 ALDERSON-BROADDUSALLANALFRED HANCOCK UNIVERSITY COLLEGE COLLEGE CANYWV P750101020 31502140 31502160 235015201440 235014601520 312 ALLENALLEGHENYALLEGANY UNIVERSITY COMMUNITYCOLLEGE COLLEGE PAMDSC 1613280560 16102838 28381610 21131690525 16902113525 810 ALMAALLIANCE COLLEGEWHITE COLLEGE COLLEGE NJMIPA 12001040670 261823901370 137026182390 20001690770 20001690770 NAME OF INSTITUTION STATE3 TUITIONANDFEES MALERESIDENTBUDGETSFEMALE MALECOMMUTINGBUDGETSFEMALECHARGESOUTSTATE OF ALPENA COMMUNITY COLLEGE MI 270 1550 1550 1650 24551650 ALVERNOALVERNIAALPHONSUS COLLEGE COLLEGE COLLEGE NJWIPA 10551000620 25501810 24501160 AMERICANALVIN JUNIOR INTERNATIONALINSTITUTE COLLEGE FOR COLLEGEFOREIGN TRADE TXMAAZ *18001458142 304729301703 304730401703 204532901403 204533001403 200 AMERICANAMHERST COLLEGEUNIVERSITYRIVER JUNIOR COLLEGE CAMADC 1970158020 29903450 2990 23301600 23301600 330 ANCHORAGEANDERSON COLLEGE COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCAKIN 990585165 21901715 21901715 19401565 15651940 300 ANDREWSANDREWANDERSON COLLEGE UNIVERSITYCOLLEGE MIGA 1050555 22501833 22001833 21001955 21501955 ANNAANNEANGELO MARIAARUNDEL STATE COLLEGE COLLEGECOMMUNITY COLLEGE TXMDMA 800260162 1269 21601294 16621710 216016471710 450510 NAME OF INSTITUTION STATE4 TUITIONFEESAND MALERESIDENTBUDGETSFEMALE MALECOMMUTINGBUDGETSFEMALECHARGESOUTSTATE OF ANNHURSTANTELOPE COLLEGEVALLEY COLLEGE CTCA 1200173 2760 2038 20382550 APPALACHIANANTIOCH COLLEGE STATE TEACHERS COLLEGE NCOH 1812310 228029821060 298222801600 19301060 19301060 255 AQUINASARIZONAARAPAHOE COLLEGESTATE JUNIOR UNIVERSITY COLLEGE MIAZCO 980286345 17861715 17611715 14861565 14611565 1101690 -1 ARKANSASARIZONA WESTERN AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE AND MECHANICALCOL ARAZ 20690 13071399 13071399 105610401490 149010561040 600135 ARKANSAS COLLEGESTATEPOLYTECHNIC COLLEGE COLLEGE AR 1000200 258013E01170 258013601170 1170850 1170850 270130 ARLINGTONARKANSAS STATESTATE JUNIORTEACHERSCOLLEGE COLLEGE COLLEGE TXAR 204178160 155811001150 124015581100 13081110 11101308 300270200 ARMSTRONGAROOSTOOK COLLEGE'STATE COLLEGE CAMEGA 750170315 22201428 23001428 169517681300 176813001695 100330 5 TUITIONAND RESIDENTBUDGETS COMMUTINGBUDGETS OUTSTATE OF ASBURYNAME COLLEGE OF INSTITUTION STATEKY FEES990 MALE1920 FEMALE1890 MALE FEMALECHARGES ASHLANDASHEVILLE-BILTMORE COLLEGECOMMUNITY COLLEGE COLLEGE KYOHNC 1530280350 30801735556 30801735556 22301470646 22301470646 410140 ATHENSASSUMPTION COLLEGE COLLEGE ALNDMA 1500810540 216015652950 21601415 141010651950 14101065 00 ATLANTICATLANTA UNIVERSITYCHRISTIANCHRISTIAN COLLEGECOLLEGE NCGA 865680340 186517601285 186517601285 15451845865 15451845865 AUBURNATLANTIC COMMUNITY UNIONCOMMUNITY COLLEGE COLLEGE COLLEGE NYMANJ 1100330246 235018301596 183023001596 235012601586 235012601586 270936 AUGSBURGAUBURN UNIVERSITYMAINE COLLEGE SCHOOL OF COMMERCE MNAlME *1330619345 255515451789 257515451786 213513451109 213513451106 AUGUSTANAAUGUSTA COLLEGE COLLEGE GAIL 1350300 26901430 26901440 15701915 19151580 330 NAME OF INSTITUTION STATE6 TUITIONFEESAND MALERESIDENTBUDGETSFEMALE MALECOMMUTINGBUDGETSFEMALE OUTCHARGESSTATE OF AUSTINAURORAAUGUSTANA COLLEGE COLLEGE TXSOIL *1350*16501166 285024112597
