Ballinamore Library - Starting on Thursday 31st January, Dr Liam McNiff will give the first in a Catholic Schools Week. Celebrating the Work of Our Own Catholic School. series of talks in Ballinamore library on the history of European Art with Each year Catholic Schools Week provides Catholic school communities with an emphasis on the period 1350-1900 (Renaissance to Impressionism). The important opportunity to celebrate ‘who they are’ and ‘what they do’. Catholic lectures will run for five Thursdays from 7pm to 9pm and will finish on Schools Week 2019 aims to achieve this in a more meaningful way by placing Thursday 28th February. The aim of these lectures is to enjoy art more, by each local Catholic school at the centre of our celebrations. This year the theme having a sense of the major movements in art, as well as the characteristics for Catholic Schools Week 2019 is ‘Catholic Schools: Celebrating the Work of of, and artists associated with, each movement.
