High School Profile 2020-2021 Community ISB enrolls approximately 1,650 students on its Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 campus, located 25km north of downtown Bangkok. All academic courses, with the exception of those offered in the World Languages Department, are taught in English. The school is an open-enrollment independent school that prides itself on the diversity of its learners, of which, 60 percent are English second language learners. ISB is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Many of our students carry multiple passports and have lived in multiple countries. Our high school teachers are equally diverse in geographic and national origin, bringing a wide range of perspectives and cultures to the classroom. In addition, all English 4.0 students complete the IB Component of CAS. One Mathematics 2.0 credit is earned for the satisfactory completion of a Science 2.0 subject taken for the entire school year; a total of 25 Social Studies 2.0 credits are required for graduation. Students engage World Languages 2.0 in various service projects during their time at ISB Physical Education 1.5 and participate in the school’s Global Citizenship Health 0.5 Week (GCW) – an experiential learning and service Fine, Performing and Applied Arts 1.5 program – each year.
