Details on Website Page 2 COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS June/July 2018 The Deux-Montagnes Library gives The Deux-Montagnes Library $1000 and non-perishable food to honoured for 40 years of service Dépannage Saint-Agapit On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Deux- Montagnes Library, an honourary plaque highlighting the vital role of the library for the citizens was given by Linda Lapointe, Member of Parliament for Rivière-des-Mille-Îles in the name of the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Government of Canada. The Library of Deux-Montagnes is an infrastructure that offers lots of quality programs and services that contribute to the cultural, social and intellectual development of the citizens of the City. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Deux- Montagnes library, an amnesty for late fees during the month of March was granted to all members of the library in exchange for funds or non-perishable food. All donations received were donated to Dépannage Saint-Agapit, an organization that has been helping people and families in need in the community for more than 20 years. Mayor Denis Martin said: We believe it is essential to provide our local organizations with financial assistance to carry out their activities.
