Manager, Grey Cup Events About Grey Cup 108 The Grey Cup makes its triumphant return to Hamilton, Ontario on December 12th, 2021. Canada’s premier annual sporting event, the Grey Cup Festival and Championship Game are a week-long celebration of Canada, our Game and the Host City. The Grey Cup Festival culminates with the Grey Cup Championship, Canada’s largest single-day annual sporting event with one in three Canadians tuning into watch on TSN. About the Hamilton Tiger-Cats The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a proud member of the Canadian Football League, with a rich and storied history spanning over 150 years and 15 Grey Cup Championships. Additionally, we are a partner Club of the Canadian Premier League champions, Forge FC, and host major sports and entertainment events in our world class stadium, Tim Hortons Field. Position Summary The Grey Cup Festival Events Manager’s primary role will be to oversee the successful planning, building and execution of Grey Cup Festival events. The 2021 Grey Cup Festival has strategically partnered with prominent event organizers in our community to produce several unique-to-market, Grey Cup Festival Events. The Manager, Grey Cup Events responsibility will also be the management of these partner relationships, ensuring execution of all Grey Cup Festival events. Position Title: Manager, Grey Cup Events Department: Grey Cup Festival Immediate Supervisor(s): Director, Grey Cup Festival Term: Contract ending December 31st, 2021 Responsibilities and Duties Act as primary point of contact for third-party Grey Cup Event organizers Oversee planning phase of each event to ensure budgets are met Work with GCF Staff and all Venue Managers to develop event strategies across all Grey Cup events Identify and source all required vendors/suppliers for each event Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all event planning documents including floorplans, maps, emergency plans and other logistical files Assist in obtaining required permits, inspections and personnel required for each event On-site contact for partners during the build-out phase of each event Produce all required day-of-event documents including Event Brief and Run of Show Responsible for successful event execution during the Grey Cup Festival Qualifications Related university degree, diploma or equivalent education 3+ years of experience in the planning and execution of live events Exceptional communication skills required to maintain healthy partner relationships A driven work ethic with the ability to work well in a team environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CAD software is a bonus Must be available to work evenings and weekends Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to [email protected].
